Software, not medical advice
Captrix is software used by healthcare practices and their staff. Nothing on this website or in the Captrix product is medical advice. Captrix does not diagnose, treat or recommend treatment.
Practice management and e-prescribing, not clinical charting
Captrix is a practice's system of record for patients, scheduling, communication, forms, payments and e-prescribing. Practices use it instead of an EHR: prescribers work from the same patient record that holds demographics, insurance and the patient's pharmacy. Captrix does not keep clinical exam notes, which stay on paper. Captrix is not ONC-certified and does not submit insurance claims.
Clinical decisions stay with the practice
The practice and its licensed clinicians are responsible for every clinical decision, including what to prescribe, and for how they use Captrix with their patients. Captrix does not practice medicine and does not employ the clinicians who use it.
Pharmacy and medication choice
When prescribing is available in Captrix, prescribers can search and send to any pharmacy reachable through the national e-prescribing network, including retail and mail-order pharmacies, and can choose any medication. Patients choose their pharmacy. Captrix does not own or partner with any pharmacy, does not steer prescriptions to a pharmacy or a drug, shows no advertising or sponsored messages while a prescription is written, and takes no payment from pharmacies, pharmacy benefit managers or drug makers.
Self-pay and insurance accepted
Captrix works for practices that are self-pay, insurance accepted, or both. Nothing in Captrix limits a practice to one way of paying.
AI features
Some Captrix features use AI, such as answering calls or chats when the front desk is busy. These features collect details and pass them to the practice's staff. They do not give medical advice, and staff can review every conversation. Practices decide which AI features to turn on.
Emergencies
Captrix is not an emergency service. Patients with a medical emergency should call 911 or go to the nearest emergency room.
Product availability
Some features described on this site are still being rolled out to practices. Timelines can change.
Research and figures
The front desk study on this site reflects calls our team made in July 2026 and is shared for general information. The 100-lead figures on our homepage come from one LASIK practice's lead records and are shown as an example. Names in product illustrations are fictional unless we say otherwise.
